1 INVITATION OF BIDS FOR INSTALLATION OF UPS BATTERIES IN PUNJAB AND SIND BANK BRANCHES AND ATMs IN FARIDKOT ZONE Sealed Tenders are invited from reputed Authorized dealers for installing of new batteries of different capacity (45 Ah, 65 Ah, 75 Ah, 100 Ah, 120 Ah and 200 Ah) in Punjab and Sind bank Branch premises and ATMs under Faridkot Zone. 1) Only those firms which fulfil following criteria will be considered for empanelment:- A. Reputed Authorized battery dealers of battery (Refer Annexure 1) having experience at least 03 years as on 31 March B. Ability to cover all the Branch and ATM locations of Punjab and Sind bank, Faridkot Zone ( District Faridkot, Moga, Ferozepur, Fazilka) 2) Applications are to be sent to the Punjab & Sind Bank, Zonal Office, Red Cross Bhawan, Sadiq Chowk, Faridkot , in two separate sealed covers by 1600 hrs on or before 27 AUGUST 2018 as under: 3) Part I. Technical bids (Annexure 2) to include profile of the company, list of major existing clients, registration number, GST details etc, Certificate/undertaking that Old Batteries are disposed with proper measure and no threat to environment, PAN No details, and Authorized dealer certificate from Battery Maker. Application Fee / Tender Fee (non-refundable) of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) in the form of Demand Draft/Pay Order favouring Punjab & Sind Bank, Zonal Office, Faridkot to be enclosed. 4) Part II. Financial Bid (Annexure 3) Rate per battery for different capacity (45Ah, 65Ah, 75 Ah, 100Ah, 120Ah and 200 Ah) to be submitted. Vendor must submit the separate financial bid for different battery capacity (45Ah, 65Ah, 75 Ah, 100Ah, 120Ah and 200 Ah). 5) Part II will be opened only if Bank is satisfied with Part I. Bank reserves the rights to reject any/all bids without assigning any reason thereto. 6) Technical Bid will be opened on 29 th AUGUST 2018 at hrs and Financial Bid will be opened as per decision on date of opening technical bid. 7) For any other queries, vendors may contact the EDP Deptt, Zonal Office, Faridkot on on working days between 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. 2 ANNEXURE: I Battery makes should be one of the following:- a) M/s Exide industries ltd. b) M/s Amararaja batteries ltd.(quanta) c) Panasonic Batteries TERMS AND CONDITONS: PRICES AND TAXES Prices shall be expressed in the Indian Rupees only. The vendor must quote total price inclusive of all Taxes. PAYMENT TERMS 1. 90% on delivery and installation of batteries % after 01 month on complete satisfaction of the working of the batteries by the Branch Office/ZO wherever the battery will be installed. Payments shall be made only after submission of invoice and warranty card by the vendor. EARNEST MONEY 1. Earnest money deposit of Rs.25000/- ( Twenty thousand only) in the form of Demand Draft/Pay Order issued/ Bank Guarantee valid for 90 days by Public Sector Bank in India favouring Punjab & Sind Bank payable at Zonal office address must be submitted along with the technical bid. 2. No interest would be payable on the earnest money deposit amount. 3. This amount would be forfeited if the bidder (L1) withdraws his bids during the period of bid validity or refuses to sign the agreement, fails to carry out his obligation mentioned therein. 4. No interest would be payable on the earnest Money deposit amount. 5. The earnest money must be submitted along with technical bid. 6. In the event of non-submission of earnest money deposit, the proposal would be rejected. The earnest money deposit would be refunded to the offered only after completion of the bid process.

3 DELIVERY PERIOD The date on which the complete batteries are delivered will be taken as the date of delivery. In case of part delivery of the system, the date of last items delivered will be taken as the date of delivery. The vendor shall be responsible for delivery of the batteries ordered at site within 15 days from the date of order. INSTALLATION: Vendor shall be responsible for installation of the batteries ordered at site within 07 days from the date of delivery or within 3 days of logging the call for installation. Penalty will be of total cost of battery(order value) for the per week delay in installation subject to maximum 10% of order value which will be over & above late delivery charges. PERFORMANCE BANK GUARANTEE: The successful bidder has to submit the Performance Bank Guarantee of Rs /- ( Rs. One Lakh only) for the due performance of the contract, valid for 15 months (including 3 months Claim Period).

4 WARRANTY: Comprehensive on-site of Two (2) years for Batteries from the date of complete installation of batteries ordered. The vendor is fully responsible for any damage to UPS after installation of battery for next 07 days. Warranty should cover the following:- a) The equipment should be attended and complaint be resolved within 4 (Four) hours of lodging of complaint. In case problems persist or require replacement of battery, a Stand-by battery of same capacity should be provided till original battery is repaired, so that normal job of the Bank may not hamper. Such stand-by battery must be replaced with original battery within a maximum period of seven days. Any violation of the above shall make the vendor liable for a penalty of Rs. 300/- per violation per day which shall be deductible from any payment towards the vendor from the Bank. b) Warranty would cover maintenance for battery. c) In case of repetitive battery failure (two or three times in a quarter) it shall be replaced by equivalent new battery by vendor at no extra cost to Bank. ORDER CANCELLATION The Bank reserves the right to cancel the contract placed on the Vendor and recover expenditure incurred by The Bank under the following circumstances: - a. The vendor commits a breach of any of the terms and conditions of the bid and fails to meet agreed uptime. b. The vendor goes into liquidation, voluntarily or otherwise. c. In case the vendor fails to deliver the quantity as stipulated in the delivery schedule, The Bank reserves the right to procure the same or similar product from alternate sources at the risk, cost and responsibility of the vendor.

5 SCOPE OF WORK The Broad Scope of work is as under:- NOTE: 1. To supply, commission, install, test, configure and maintain the batteries, which are approved by the bank, at various locations identified by the bank. The vendor will enter into a rate contract with the bank for installation of new batteries (Battery Makers specification mentioned above) wherever required at various locations identified by the bank. The rates shall remain valid for one year. The rate should be Direct Dealer comparative rate. During the contract period, vendors have to pass on the benefit of discount / Reduction in prices /Govt. duties, if any, to the Bank voluntarily. In case of failure, Bank reserves the right to Terminate the rate contract with immediate effect. Bank will have periodic review of technology. In case any of the models becomes obsolete, then Bank will consider the alternate model. The Vendor will also provide the latest model available, if there is upward revision in the model Offered, at no extra cost to Bank. The Bank, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to shift the equipment to a suitable location depending upon the need. The Vendor will arrange to shift the equipment, install and commission the same at the shifted location. However cost of transportation for shifting outside the premises shall be borne by the Bank. 2. SMF Batteries with electrolyte in paste form are acceptable. Any other type including calcium batteries are not acceptable. Vendor should provide Two (2) years of Warranty for Batteries. Vendor has to guarantee minimum uptime of 98% during services period 1. ANY NEW REQUIREMENT OF THE COMPLETE NEW INSTALLATION OF UPS WITH BATTERIES, IF ANY, WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER THIS TENDER. THE BRANCH AND ATM PREMISES WHERE REPLACEMENT OF OLD BATTERIES WITH NEW ONE WILL BE REQUIRED WILL BE COVERED UNDER THIS TENDER FOR 1 YEAR. 2. THE RATE SHOULD BE DIRECT DEALER COMPARATIVE RATE, WITHIN THE TENDER PERIOD OF 1 YEAR, WHENEVER THE BRANCH WILL HAVE THE REQUIREMENT OF REPLACEMENT OF OLD BATTERIES WITH THE NEW BATTERIES AND IF ANY AUTHORISED BATTERY VENDOR WILL PUT UP THE QUOTATION LESS THAN THE RATE FINALIZED DURING THE TENDERING PROCESS, THEN THE ORDER WILL BELONG TO THE VENDOR WITH LESS RATES. The vendors are required to go through the complete document thoroughly.
