2 Music The League sponsors section music contests for both Class A and Class AA schools. Participating schools have the opportunity to take part in both large group and solo/ensemble contests conducted by individual sections. There are 70 music events in which students may participate as a member of their high school choir and/or band and orchestra. Approximately 80 percent of League member schools are represented by at least one entry at the section contests. Listed below are those large group performers who earned a Superior rating in They are grouped in three categories with the section of music determining the category in which the group performed. Category refers to difficulty and the lower the category number indicates more difficult music.
