5 PREFACE This index to The Australian Book Review issues has been produced as part of the publications programme of the Footscray Institute of Technology library at the request of the Editor of The Australian Book Review, Mr. John McLaren. The first index to The Australian Book Review indexes issues 1 to 10, and was published in issue 12, July The publication of The Australian Book Review by the National Book Council has received universal approbation. We are pleased to have the opportunity to increase its usefulness through the production of this index. It is intended to produce annual indexes to complement it.
