3 Operations in Georgia started in late 2008 after a visit by a business delegation to Tbilisi and a visit by Georgian hydropower developer to Iceland. Historical overview I First project was feasibility study of the Mtkvari HPP followed by feasibility study of Khadori 2 HPP. In 2009, cooperation with Peri and Georgian Water Project started. In , contract with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Promoting the Use of Renewable Energy Resources for Local Energy Supply, and cooperation with several Georgian developers and designers. In 2011, contract with Dariali Energy on feasibility study, project design, preparation of tender documents and detail design for the underground 108 MW Dariali HPP. The project is to be commissioned shortly.

4 In 2012, we won the tender for preparation of a feasibility study for the Machakhela 1&2 HPP. The project was later postponed. Historical overview II In 2013, Georgian Energy Development Fund assigned us to review Front End Engineering Design of the Tsablari 2 HPP. The review proposed significant savings in construction cost and construction time. In 2014, Hydro Development Company LLC assigned us to provide review of detail design for the Kintrishi HPP. Later we visited the headrace tunnel construction to advise on construction methodology and rock support. In 2015, we provided expert assistance in preparation of a feasibility study for the Supsa river cascade development, involving 5 hydropower plants. In 2015, we won a tender for preparation of feasibility study and basic design for the Tskhenistskali HPP Cascade. In 2016, creation of LLC LP-Verkis and opening of an office.

16 Conclusions 1. Landsvirkjun Power and Verkis have worked on hydropower projects in Georgia for about 8 years. 2. We have worked for many developers and investors and the working relations have been professional and honest. 3. We have co-operated with numerous local consultants and specialized companies. 4. The local consulting companies and experts are professional and responsible in their work. 5. We consider ourselves bringing value into the projects and thus contribute to the development of Georgia. 6. We like the Georgian people, food and wine. 7. Hence, we have decided to establish a more stable base in Georgia by establishing a company and an office.
