1 CURRICULUM Massimo Bricocoli 1. P rofile Massimo Bricocoli is Full Professor at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies at Politecnico di Milano, where he is Faculty Member of the School of Architecture, Planning and Construction Engineering and teaches Housing and Neighbourhoods and Urban Ethnography. In 2015 he was appointed Full Professor (Chair of the city of Esch sur Alzette) at the Université du Luxembourg where he was based for two semesters; in 2014 he was Velux Visiting professor at the Centre for Urbanism at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts; in he was Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at Humboldt Universitaet zu Berlin and HafenCity University Hamburg. He is a member of: the Think Tank Piano città promoted by the Vice-minister at the Ministero delle Infrastrutture e Trasporti in Rome, of the International Advisory Board of the Program IBA Wien New social housing promoted by the City of Vienna, of the Board of the project Welfare for all promoted by the city of Milano for the reorganization of welfare policies and co-funded by the Cariplo Foundation and of the scientific board of the Research Group on the Sociology of Public Action Suigeneris based at the University of Milano Bicocca. Research interests and activities focus on four main domains, developed in a comparative European perspective: Urban regeneration policies; Housing policies and projects; new urban development projects; Social change patterns and the restructuring of local welfare policies. On these themes he has been: developing research projects, consulting local governments in Italy and abroad, publishing books as well as presenting and discussing in the context of invited lectures, advanced teaching programmes, research seminars and major international scientific conferences. Research outcomes are documented in a number of scientific publications consisting of books, book chapters and articles.
