1 WAMBROOK ST MARY THE VIRGIN CHURCH BURIALS Source: Parish Registers George Rose s Act (1812), which became law on 1 st January 1813, stipulated that all registers had to be pre-printed with standardised layout and content. Transcripts from these parish registers were made by members of stock Historical Records Group from photographs of the original registers. While every effort has been made to ensure that the transcripts are as accurate as possible, errors can sometimes occur. Should you encounter any problems, please contact stock Historical Records Group by at chrg@btinternet.com and we will do our best to help. When using this document, the following points should be borne in mind: The registers have been transcribed verbatim. Where notes were written in the margins or within the entry columns these are indicated by italics. In cases where other research has produced an alternative to the transcribed version (e.g. burial monuments), that alternative is shown beneath or alongside the transcribed version in [ ] brackets, provided the alternative has an equal or greater likelihood of being the correct or preferred version. Additional notes which may be of use the researcher have also been included in brackets, prefaced by Note: Other Christian Denominations On seven separate occasions, spanning the years from 1892 to 1998, named ministers of other denominations were recorded as having performed the ceremonies for individuals buried in the churchyard. The first of these was a Congregational minister, two were from the Gospel Hall in and the remaining four were Wesleyan / Methodist ministers. None of these entries, however, indicates where the actual ceremony was performed. Researchers are referred to the separate Web Museum links to Additional Information on stock, All Saints and.
