8 K E Y 1 Historic Structure Report: an HSR consists of extensive historical and architectural analysis, condition assessment and recommendations, cost estimates, and a prioritized master plan list of work items. 2 Condition Report: a CR concentrates on the physical fabric only, identifying deficiencies, recommending repairs, and providing cost estimates and a prioritized master plan list of work items. 3 Report of Site Visit: a brief report which identifies general work areas and provides quick budget estimates. 4 Building Assessment Report: a preliminary planning document (often called a Conservation Assessment Report or CAP) for museums housed in historic buildings which describes a brief inspection of the building and includes a general discussion of maintenance and repair items necessary for preservation of the structure. Some attention is given to care of collections. A companion report is generally provided by a collections conservator. These reports are usually funded, in part, with a grant from Heritage Preservation, a non-profit organization established by Congress. 5 Miscellaneous Studies: the content of Miscellaneous Studies varies according to the interests of the owner. 6 Report funded, in part, with a grant from the New York State Council on The Arts.
