SURRY HILLS DESIGN AT ITS MOST SOPHISTICATED Taking residential design to an elegant new level, this aspirational boutique development has a sense of establishment, showcasing refined architecture at its very best.

We set out to design a building with an air of permanence to it one which felt established and was already understood to be part of the community. The beautiful natural materials chosen will age gracefully and simply look better over time. ADAM HADDOW DIRECTOR, ARCHITECTURE JONATHAN RICHARDS DIRECTOR, INTERIOR DESIGN Our brief for the interiors was to achieve something truly special and different for Surry Hills apartments with a sense of sophistication and a palette which is classic yet which doesn t feel too conservative. There is a sense of generosity to the materials and the spatial layout, with a feeling of grandeur and a bespoke solution to every detail. While drawing on the warehouse typology of Surry Hills, we wanted to create a more refined apartment offering which was elevated beyond the standard product. The difference is in the calibre of the architectural details a traditional brick façade, beautiful window frames and parquetry floors. It s touches like these that define a building which will become an enduring landmark; something with a more classic than fashion conscious feel.

RANKED AS ONE OF THE 50 MOST STYLISH NEIGHBOURHOODS IN THE WORLD BY AMERICAN LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE Inspired by the design culture for which Surry Hills is renowned, the boutique Ashlar development is a remarkable addition to Sydney s most colourful urban address. Quite unlike anything else in the locale, the bold 6 level building is crowned by a breathtaking metal-clad lantern encompassing a penthouse and a communal rooftop garden with dramatic city views.

TIMELESSLY ELEGANT INTERIORS WITH A SENSE OF PERSONALITY Two interior colour options see dusty pink or pale blue flourishes used sparingly throughout the apartments, adding a sense of personality and interest to select features. There is a distinct sense of quality and real depth to each element nothing is superficial. Open wardrobes and pantries show off materials and craftsmanship that are as beautiful inside as they are out, highlighting the care devoted to every last detail.
