Theresia ENGESSER was born about 1838 in Württemberg, Germany. She was the daughter of and. Frank SCHEMMEL died on March 31, 1915 in Piqua, Ohio, due to apoplexy, (impairment resulting from a cerebral hemorrhage or a stroke). He is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, in Piqua, Ohio. At the time of his death, Frank and Sophie (SHIE) SCHEMMEL lived at 127 Morrow St, Piqua, Ohio. At the time of the 1940 Census, Sophie (SHIE) SCHEMMEL was living by herself at 127 Morrow St, Piqua, Ohio. She owned her home, and its value was $1000. So it appears that at least for the beginning of her life, she was living in her aunt & uncle s home in Dinsmore Township, Shelby County, Ohio.
