WORLDS END The house is well hidden from the road and I was originally taken by the size and the location. It s a beautiful, traditional house, close to the motorway networks and Birmingham airport and they re all within a 15-minute drive.

Once inside, an inviting and light hallway has attractive parquet flooring and a lovely oak staircase, and oak doors leading off to the main reception rooms, which are equally suited to family living or entertaining and comprise a dual aspect living room, with doors onto the garden and a focal-point inset marble fireplace; a versatile family room /study to the front and steps down to a recreational room/gym, a separate dining room with a wide bay window provides a wealth of natural light and is generous in size and perfect for family gatherings and formal entertaining.

Seller Insight I d lived in the area beforehand and had driven past the house for 6 years without noticing that it was there until the For Sale sign went up! says the vendor. We ve lived here for 12 years and have made lots of improvements incorporating high end appliances throughout. The main change has been the loft conversion which is now a self-contained apartment with a big bedroom, living area and bathrooms. We also converted the two garages into additional living space with one becoming a gym and library and the other is now a cinema room for the children who often had their friends over to play and watch films. My favourite room is the main living room which overlooks the garden. It has windows from one end to the other with French doors leading outside.

The breakfast kitchen offers a large living space to suit a contemporary lifestyle and has a range of oak units beneath granite work surfaces and a host of Gaggenau integrated appliances include an oven, full length fridge and freezer, microwave, Miele gas hob and extractor. From the kitchen, steps lead to a rear lobby providing access into the garage, which has been fully tiled and is suited for parties with a bar area to the rear to include a drinks chiller and a separate utility.

The house is south facing and it s always light and airy due to the enormous number of windows.

I ll miss the size and the proportion of the house but the time has come to make the decision to sell and I hope that it becomes a happy home for another family.

The wide, shallow-rise staircase leads up to four generous double bedrooms and a stylish and fully fitted family bathroom with a bath and corner shower. The master bedroom is light and airy benefiting from windows on three sides and offers attractive views of the garden.
