"HOUSING FOR ALL BY 2022" Mission - National Mission for Urban Housing HON BLE CHIEF MINISTER OF HARYANA SHRI MANOHAR LAL KHATTAR VISION 4 Shri Narendra Modi Prime Minister I am sure that by 2019 or may be before that, we will have the results visible for all to see. Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi's Mission Housing for All by 2022 aims for urban areas with following components/options to States, Union Territories and cities:- a) Slum rehabilitation of Slum Dwellers with participation of private developers using land as a resource; b) Promotion of Affordable Housing for weaker sections through credit linked subsidy; c) Affordable housing in partnership with Public & Private sectors and d) Subsidy for beneficiary-led individual house construction or enhancement. Shri Hardeep Singh Puri Hon'ble Minister of State The scheme will be implemented as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme except the credit linked subsidy component, which will be implemented as a Central Sector Scheme. The Mission also prescribes certain mandatory reforms for easing up the urban land market for housing, to make adequate urban land available for Affordable Housing. Houses constructed under the mission would be allotted in the name of the female head of the households or in the joint name of the male head of the household and his wife. The scheme will cover the entire urban area consisting of 4041 statutory towns with initial focus on 500 Class I cities and it will be implemented in three phases as follows, viz. Phase-I (April 2015 - March 2017) to cover 100 Cities to be selected from States/ UTs as per their willingness; Phase - II (April 2017 - March 2019) to cover additional 200 cities and Phase-III (April 2019 - March 2022) to cover all other remaining Cities. However, there will be flexibility in covering number of cities in various phases and inclusion of additional cities may be considered by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation in case there is demand from States and cities and have capacity to include them in earlier phases. Credit linked subsidy component of the scheme would be implemented across the country in all statutory towns from the very beginning. Shri Manohar Lal Khattar was born on May 5th, 1954 in Nidana village, Maham tehsil in the Rohtak district of Haryana. Shri Khattar completed his high school from Rohtak s Pandit Neki Ram Sharma Government College and whilst running a shop in Sadar Bazar, Delhi, pursued graduation to receive his Bachelors degree from Delhi University. Shri Manohar Lal Khattar s agenda promises not only a better Haryana, but also a unique state that leads in various fields, is acknowledged internationally, and sets an example for other states to follow. We envisage Haryana as a vibrant, dynamic and resurgent unit of federal India. We will also seek to fertilize farming with latest knowhow to make it profitable, and break e-ground in many a field, especially education, in what is being billed as a digital Haryana in the making. We have already set the ball rolling for putting in place a transparent, graftfree and responsive administration which will put a full stop to the legacy of opaque decision-making and iniquitous distribution of resources. An administration, that feels and cares for the people who have vainly craved for it, for long. With three D s of Democracy, Demography and Demand on our side, we envisage to actualize people s aspirations by building a bond of trust with them, a bond that will rest on the pillar of people-friendly governance". 5

UTTAR PRADESH An investment Hub ABOUT US NAREDCO National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) was established as an autonomous self-regulatory body in 1998 under the aegis of Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India.
