Director Wilhelm Schoenian: 1. With the exception of 150 ha. land in the southeast of the island of Angaur, reserved exclusively for the islanders, it is established that the Treasury of German New Guinea ls, as of contract of acquisition of November 20, 1909, the owner of the island of Angaur of the Palau group. 2. The Treasury sells the real estate described in #1 together with a strip of beach land of 10 m. width, bordering on the property of the islanders. The land with all buildin~s and plants will belong to the German South Sea Phosphate Co. for the price of Mk. 1, 200 provided that : 3. 1be government consents that the buyer be entered into the land register as owner of the real estate.

Thie buyer concedes the right to the Treasury that, should the establishment discontinue or relocate, the land may be reacquired at the same price. (In the margin: "No, after 35 years, even if the establishment is not discontinued.) 5. The buyer assures the islanders free circulation with the exception of the settlement of the establishment. All disputes are to be settled by the Imperial Station Administrator. The natives have the right t:o gather all produce of coconut and other fruit, timber rights for their own usage, and living rights on the real estate until such time that exploitation demands the removal of trees and homes. Exception is made for the Company's own plantations. The natives have access to landing rights and the beach land bordering their reserved area.
