/// 47,000 SQ. FEET Stephen Goldring Hall Goldring Hall reflects the distinctive architecture of the city s Warehouse district. It currently showcases changing exhibitions and the Museum s permanent collection of 18th, 19th and 20th century works. This modern, five-story structure features a glass facade, floating staircase, and intimate galleries surrounded by mezzanine-style balconies which overlook the Grand Hall s four-story atrium. Goldring Hall can host small gatherings as well as large receptions of up to 700 guests. Taylor Library The library was designed by Henry Hobson Richardson and opened on Mardi Gras Day in 1889. It remains the only building in the South by this important American architect and Louisiana native. The large, open floor-plan features towering, vaulted ceilings adorned with individually carved, unique Hounds of Knowledge. Frequently Asked Questions: What does the Museum provide with facility rentals? Facility rentals include the space(s) rented, security and an on-site coordinator. All beverage service is provided through the Museum at an additional cost, while catering, furniture rental, A/V, and any other services are contracted through third-party vendors. All third-party vendors must be approved by the Museum. The on-site coordinator acts only as an intermediary between the Museum, client, and thirdparty vendors for the interests of the Museum, and does not serve as an event planner for the client. Can I bring in my own caterer? The Museum allows clients to bring in outside caterers at no additional charge. All caterers must be licensed and insured, approved by the Museum, and available for an on-site meeting with the events manager no less than 30 days prior to the date of the event. Outside caterers may not provide beverage service. When is the Museum available for rental? Facility rentals must not interfere with the normal working conditions of the Museum. Goldring Hall is available for events beginning a tor after 5:30 PM, daily, while the Patrick F. Taylor Library is available for events beginning at or after 8:00 AM, daily. How long is a regular rental period? The Museum rents its facilities in 4-hour blocks of time. Additional time may be contracted at an incremental, additional cost. Load-in and load-out are not included in this 4-hour time. Does the Museum provide parking? Adjacent parking lots are not owned by the Museum.
