MAINLAND Vancouver, Feb 23 - Edward Noble, prominent British Columbian Orangeman, who walked in a parade here last July 12 when in his niney-seventh year, died on Sunday at his home in Cedar Cottage, a suburb, it was learned to-day. Born in Tyrone County, Ireland, in 1829, Mr. Noble came to Canada in 1843 and settled at Simcoe, Ont., and came to Vancouver seventeen years ago. Mrs. Charles E. Reynolds of Great Central Lake, Vancouver Island, is a granddaughter. Notes on Edward Noble Edward was born in Fivemiletown, Co. Tyrone Ireland. Edward emigrated with his father, step mother and younger siblings. The sailing ship took seven weeks to make the journey, and landed in Quebec. Generation 5 (con't) [FAMTREE.GED] Obituary of Robert Marcus Reynolds from the London Free Press transcribed by Anne Reynolds 8 April 2002 REYNOLDS Peacefully at London Health Science Centre, University Campus on Tuesday April 2, 2002 Robert Marcus Reynolds of London at the age of 71. Marc survived ALS(Lou Gehrig's disease) with dignity and courage for more than 20 years. He will be forever loved by his wife Eleanore, son Mike, daughter Pam and her husband Jeff Adam. Marc enjoyed being Bumpa to Abigail, Emmett and Will. Marc will be missed by his brothers Tom and Chuck and their wives Lennie and Lou, many nieces and nephews and their families. Marc was predeceased by his parents Colonel Charles Edward and Mary(Noble) Reynolds. Special thanks to Dr. David Lease, Norma Kambulow, Dwayne Gruber, and the many wonderful nurses, physicans, and other support workers who cared for Marc for the last fifteen years. Thanks also to our many friends for their support. Marc attended General Motors Institute and enjoyed his years working at General Motors of Canada Diesel Division as Superintendant of Maintenance and Plant Engineering. He was also proud of his involvement with the 22nd(London) Service Battalion, where he served in many capacities, finally as Commanding Officier. Before ALS Marc enjoyed sailing,and curling and was a avid skier. In the last few years of his life, he enjoyed working on his computer, reading, writing his memoirs, attending concerts and plays, entertaining friends and travelling. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral will be conducted on Friday April 5th at 11:00 am at Metropolitan United Church 468 Wellington Street, London with Reverend Farquhar MacKinnon officating. Cremation. Interment of cremated remains in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London at a later date.
