Tornado Procedures In case of a tornado warning, all individuals are encouraged to proceed to a designated safe place in the building in which you are present. At any time that the National Weather Service, state or local police communications, or other information indicates that Marian University is in the path of an approaching tornado, a siren will be activated with the sirens in the Fond du Lac community. ALL persons should seek immediate shelter from the approaching tornado. The outside siren/alarm is the only existing signal Marian University uses. Consequently, it is very important to listen for this siren when weather conditions are likely for a tornado. All persons should leave rooms which have windows, have objects that could harm you if fallen, or if one or more of the walls are an existing outside wall.
