THE PROPERTY 18-19 Market Place is understood to have been purpose built in the late 19th Century for the then Midland Bank. Planning Status The building is understood to be "locally listed" but not formally listed. It is located in Chipping Norton town centre Conservation Area, and, together with much of the town, lies within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Planning Permissions A series of Planning Permissions were approved in 2015 by West Oxfordshire District Council granting consent for various alterations to the northern section of the building, 19 Market Place. Overall the permissions approved the creation of a Retail Shop on the frontage and improve its entrance door and display windows, and convert the upper floors and rear wing to a total of five apartments.
