The house is close to Woburn Abbey which is a wonderful family day out and Woburn Golf Club is around 12 miles away. The garden is set in 5 acres and is laid mainly to lawn. At the end of the garden is a large pond with thousands of fish and it s a natural attraction for wildlife. The pond is currently home to a moorhen and her baby chicks and you can often spot the red kites and falcons soaring overhead. The garden would be an ideal space for children s birthday parties as it s big enough to play football and then celebrate with a BBQ and drinks in the gazebo. *
The kitchen is an ideal room for a party, it could fit up to 50 people at one time. The white wine and red wine have their own fridge, stored at the optimum temperature for both, as does the beer! Mood lighting sets the ambience and the bifold doors open out on to the patio and garden. Filtered hot, cold or even fizzy water is instantly available from the tap which is an excellent feature.
The master bedroom with a balcony looking out on to the garden is one of my favourite rooms in the property. The electric blinds open in the morning to give far-reaching views over the garden, pond and the woods beyond. In fact, all the views from the first and second floors are stunning.
The interior is classic modern with exceptionally high ceilings creating a feeling of spaciousness. Large, ornate coving is a feature downstairs, as is the grate covered well over 100ft deep which can be found at the side of the house.
The property is accessed via double iron gates with sweeping drive leading to the main house and feature water fountain. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and offer seclusion and privacy.
Sherington has a village shop, The White Hart public house, a Church, sports pavilion and Sherington Church of England primary school.
