TannerHecht ure services for a redevelopment project on the site of the original Carnation/Qualitee Dairy Building, located adjacent to the home of the San Diego Padres, Petco Park. Icon is comprised of four individual residential towers situated over a three-level, subterranean parking garage accommodating up to 490 vehicles. Both the residential towers and parking garage are concrete framed (Type 1 construction). Tower 1 is 24 stories-high (approximately 192,700 square-feet) consisting of 143 units and a roof terrace with bleacher seating. Tower 2 is 11 storieshigh (approximately 109,300 square-feet) with 66 units. Tower 3 is nine stories-high (approximately 60,000 square-feet) with 50 units and Tower 4 is five stories-high (approximately 37,800 square-feet) with 26 units. 719 Ash Street Hotel San Diego, California Narven Enterprises, Inc. TBD Joseph Wong Design Associates design and construction documents for an upscale 332-room hotel project in downtown San Diego. When constructed, the 275,000- square-foot hotel will consist of 18 levels above grade and four levels below grade to accommodate parking for 208 vehicles. The Ground Level will include dual lobbies, restaurant, retail and back of house space. The Second Level will include meeting, office and sales space. Levels 3 through 14 will be guest room levels, with large penthouse suites on the top level. The 8th Floor will feature an outdoor pool, spa and patio seating area. Eco roofs have been incorporated at Level 3, Level 8 and at the upper roof. Construction of the hotel and subterranean parking will consist of Type I, cast-in-place and posttensioned concrete. The project includes an eight-story, 112,000-squarefoot building with 68 condo units and a four-story, 89,000-square-foot building featuring 52 condo units. The two residential buildings sit atop a twolevel, 135,000-square-foot subterranean parking garage which provides 227 vehicle spaces. Situated on this site is the historical Stamp Building, which was retained, renovated and incorporated into the final design as a retail space. The facility also includes a two-level (one-level above grade and one-level subterranean) parking garage. The 21,000-squarefoot parking garage accommodates 59 vehicles. The new campus facility consists of a two-building, nine-story, 100,920-square-foot student residence facility containing 275 beds constructed of cast-inplace concrete with shear walls providing lateral resistance. The first level of the LEED Gold Certified residence hall features meeting space, a small retail market, laundry facilities and custodial and maintenance areas. UC San Diego The Rita Atkinson Student Residences La Jolla, California UC San Diego Webcor Builders Valerio Dewalt Train The Rita is a design-build residence hall project comprised of two wings, one seven stories-tall and one nine stories-tall, with 226 fully furnished apartments configured in two-bedroom units. Amenities include a green roof, on-site conference, study and meeting rooms, a fitness room and laundry facilities. services for The Rita, also known as the Health Sciences Graduate Housing. The design-build process enabled the team to accelerate the project schedule and minimize construction costs. Students were able to move into the apartments one year ahead of schedule. The project was awarded LEED Gold Level Certification for Core & Shell from the U.S. Green Building Council. Swinerton Builders Baldauf Catton Von Eckartsberg services for this nine-story, 80,000-square-foot, Class A office building with an upscale restaurant and retail space located on a narrow 50-foot-wide by 200-foot-long downtown lot with existing structures on both sides. MetroWork contains 27 office suites and Anthology, a 250-seat upscale restaurant, bar and upscale live music venue on the first three levels. The Riviera Deck is also used for events booked at the hotel throughout the year. Cass & Associates services for an approximately 87,000-squarefoot hotel project located in the Fort Irwin Army Post outside of Barstow, California. Landmark Organization, based in Austin, Texas, served as the developer for the three-story, 180-room hotel. Fort Irwin, also known as the National Training Center (NTC), is the only training facility in the world that is designed for force-on-force and live fire training of heavy brigade-sized military forces. Carrier Johnson + CULTURE Hope-Amundson provided the structural engineering services for Phase II of the Viejas Outlet Center, incorporating four one-story steel-framed buildings into the retail outlet center s existing 180,000 square-feet of tenant space. The is one of the largest and most successful Native American tribes in San Diego County. The rich heritage of the Viejas band is reflected in the Southwestern style of architecture and through the use of sculptural landscape elements. Pechanga Recreation Center Temecula, California Pechanga Development Corporation Roel Construction Delawie services for a two-story recreation center in Temecula, California. The Pechanga Recreation Center features a gymnasium, locker rooms, bowling center, billiards room, arcade, classrooms and other assembly spaces. The adjacent site development includes a competition swimming pool, recreation pool, spa and associated support facilities.
