THE CREATIVE THE INNOVATIVE THE RADICAL THE EXEMPLARY THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS ONE OF DEGREE.

One of the oldest and most respected design forums in India, the 361 Design Conference is an initiative by Indian Architect & Builder to inspire a truly relevant discussion on architecture. The conference establishes a thought-exchange program with its presentations and discussions chronicling a multitude of ideas and innovations that have had a significant impact on our habitats. Through the years, the conference has connected various disciplines of design by offering dialogue opportunities across essential themes like Design and Informal Cities, Earth Matters, Imagining Urban Futures, Material Innovations, New Spirit in Architecture and Architecture of Purpose. 2014 will mark the seventh edition of 361 Conference in India.

The 361 Degrees Conference will remain with me as one of the most invigoratingly interesting and stimulating forums I have experienced. The choice of subject matter and speakers was remarkable, hugely explorative and, ultimately, cogent. Andre Tammes, Chairman, LDP, UK & Australia.

A celebration of thoughtful design, 361 absolutes & completes the need for understanding, debate and future directions for architecture in India. For the industry & the community, it culminates as an annual opportunity for unique convergence of creativity & networking. to Inspire Aspiring for intense architectural deliberations over presentations, discussions and dinners, 361 has hosted 120+ iconic Indian and international speakers including Richard Meier, Hani Rashid, Fumihiko Maki, Alejandro Aravena, Charles Correa and more..to Interact Over six editions, 361 has attracted more than 3500 architects from all over the world to gather and generate under the premise of curated themes. With relevant global media coverage, the architectural buzz created amounts to significant know-how for the organisations associated with it. I really enjoyed some of the talks and interactions, and I must commend you and your team for a job well done. The audience was excellent and it felt good as a speaker to be in front of a packed house. I have been to many conferences around the world and I have to say that this was amongst the best, both in quality of speakers and in organization. - Sandeep Khosla, Principal, Khosla Associates With two and a half packed days of amazing and inspiring talks & presentations from speakers with varied backgrounds, 361 Degrees was as brilliant as one can get.the presentations were enriching and inspiring to professionals and students alike - something that was evident with the enthusiastic responses of all who attended. Overall each aspect of the conference was extremely well-organised and our congratulations to you and the entire IA&B team for a super successful event! - Brijender S Dua, Editor, Landscape Journal

We like to assume that there aren't any Cost Effective Our conference costs our delegates only 1% of the money they make in a year With this 1% of investment they take home a lot more that would last them a lifetime 65% cons of india s most influential architects in attendance Which helps in keeping them hooked Some of Our popular methods of engaging professional and students Facebook (+5000 likes) + face to face meetings (nationwide) + online updates (website, newsletters, emailers, online advertising etc) This method is our winning formula for achieving our goals of organizing an awesome conference

RETROSPECTIVE The Speakers, The Partners, The Associations These presentations also opened up some critical thinking within me, making me wonder what are we all doing as a profession? I wondered if, we as a profession, are not focused on beach houses and second homes, and neat little tourist sites, or are we facing the avalanche of urbanisation straight on. Will history push us aside as the court jesters of the rich and idle? While these are critical thoughts of our profession and my own work, they are not critical of reactions of your conference. Your conference laid out things in front of me that caused me to think! What better compliment could one pay of your efforts! Prof. Christopher Charles Benninger, CCBA, Pune: 361 2013

2005 India s first comprehensive international design forum for ideation, inspiration and interaction -361 was launched to create a multi-directional showcase of ideas and innovations that have and had a significant impact on the habitat around us. Each speaker, be it an architect, an engineer, a planner, a policy maker, an activist or a thinker is an icon in his own. The conference, in its wake, creates a forum for the exchange of ideas and discussions on prevalent issues in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Industries. 361º CONFERENCES is a platform which brings world class architects from across the world to India. It enables the design community in India to interact with the wider network people. - Dr B.V. Doshi, Ahmedabad: 361 2005
