A picture is worth 1,000 words for the Centre for Student Development... Award for the Awards poster... Well-branded first year handbook piques interest...

Centre for Continuing Education The Centre for Continuing Education has developed a postcard flyer that uses white space to keep focus on the rich, well-thought-out, imagery central on the page. The still life image links nicely to the supporting text, creating a clean, confident look based on the McMaster advertising format. Writer: Todd Rich Designer: Deuce Design

Inspiring from within conference poster CENTRE FOR STUDENT DEVELOPMENT Academic Skills Resources & Services Keeping you on course http://csd.mcmaster.ca/academic 2007-2008 The Centre for Student Development has taken a new photographic approach to conveying its signature lighthouse, which used to be represented graphically in the form of a logo. This alternative delivers more emotional impact and tells a clear story. Writer: Peter Walsh Designer: Brad Coburn

Student Liason Office The Student Liason office produced a well-branded cover for the 2008 first year handbook. Candid photography captures a convincing and engaging perspective of students. Ample white space creates a spacious, well-balanced feel and keeps the eye on the page. Editor and content: Paula Johnson Designer: Deuce Design

The dynamic angle of the photo gives the trophies an abstract beauty that if shot any other way might come across as mundane. This poster is an exceptional example of portraying factual information in an exciting way. www.workingatmcmaster.ca Designer: Simon Oakley, Media Production Services
