Chasse Park Apartments Nonnenveld 29 4811 HN Breda Situated on a former military base, next to the city centre, the Chasse Park Apartments is a series of towers that accentuate views and open space through their orientation on the site and unique elevations The towers seem to be placed at random on the site Because of the high density towers, the originally green and open area can remain relatively open The in-between space gets an important glue-like character: all different architecture is connected through the outside public area Not one apartment has its own garden, but in this plan, each has a veranda, and guaranteed sunlight, because of the centrally placed inner core with services The public park functions as a collective garden Underneath the whole project is ample parking This campus set-up has proven to be a successful concept, created by the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), the landscape was done by West 8 2001 Main designer, Architect Xaveer De Geyter Architects West 8 City of Breda Busses 10, 6 and 132 pass the Chassé campus The terrain is south of the city centre, about 15 min walking from the Central Train Station http://wwwmimoaeu/users/papastervski/guides/breda/ 3
