2 Blount County Market Overview Research Provided by Jason Everbach and Vicki Everbach August 2018 The Blount County real estate market hot-streak continues making August another excellent month! The average sales price decreased slightly, while inventory shortages continue to be an issue in many price ranges. The average Days on Market (DOM) also went down compared to July. Owners and sellers in the $100K - $400K price range have a strong seller's market working in their favor; this should be taken advantage of if selling is a priority. The ongoing inventory shortage in the $400K and below price ranges is causing fierce competition for properly priced homes. Buyers need to act quickly when they find the right house. The opposite can be said of the luxury market, which is still suffering from an excess of supply. This is great news for luxury buyers, however luxury sellers need to be realistic about proper pricing and selecting the right agent. Quick Facts 43 $233, Avg.
