To decentralise Delhi by shifting from plotted housing to group housing, thus emphasizing on the development of high rise buildings and optimise the ground coverage of land. To construct a multimodal public transport system with the help of Unified Metro Transport Authority and development of world class roads infrastructure as well as ground parking space, multi level parking and underground parking. The policy caters to the demand of commercial activities and overcome the shortfall of available commercial space by providing provision of mixed land use like small shops of daily needs have been permitted on ground floor, in residential areas. Similarly provision for health facilities are also taken in serious consideration by allowing extra build up areas for hospitals, nursing homes, clinics etc under relaxed mixed use norms to achieve the international health standards of 5 beds/1000 population. In order to build a world class educational infrastructure, provision of new school sites adjacent to parks, sites for vocational facilities and other skill development facilities are also taken into consideration. 6 LAND POOLING POLICY POLICY The land pooling policy is sanctioned on 5th September 2013 in order to accommodate 48 lac people by The parcel of lands along the peripheral regions of Delhi have been identified and notified for this purpose and subdivided in to different Zones. The policy is formulated by centre government wherein the land parcels owned by the individuals or groups are legally consolidated by transfer of rights to Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
