Curry was appointed associate dean and associate professor at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning in He was appointed associate professor of architecture in the Department of Architecture and director of the Cornell Council for the Arts at Cornell University in 2002, having been an assistant professor at Cornell from He has taught at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (1999, 1991), and at the Arizona State University Department of Architecture ( ). In 1995 he launched his creative design practice OrbitMCA DesignStudio; in 2015 he consolidated creative activities into Milton Curry ProjectStudio. In 2008, he founded and serves as editor in chief of CriticalProductive, a double-blind peer-reviewed journal focused on architecture, urbanism and cultural theory. In 1993 he co-founded and co-edited Appendx, a double-blind peer-reviewed journal focused on cultural theory and architecture. Curry s writings, book and journal editing, exhibitions, creative work and lectures engage multiple disciplines and publics. As an academic, creative designer and academic leader, Curry works across disciplines to find intellectual space for issues of cultural theory to intersect with contemporary architectural production and discourse in urbanism. As an academic leader, he has collaborated with faculty and students to produce innovative curricula, exhibitions, and funded initiatives on industrial design, the city, and public health. Curry has worked collaboratively with university presidents, provosts, deans and department chairs to create cross-disciplinary programs and impactful faculty exchanges. Since 2010 at the University of Michigan, he has raised over $1.5 million in external funds. He has helped raise the profile of Taubman College by working with faculty and academic leadership to develop robust postprofessional degree offerings in technology, health, and conservation. The Michigan/Mellon Project on Egalitarianism and the Metropolis and Michigan Architecture Prep Program (an architecture enrichment program in Detroit for over 60 high school juniors per year) - two projects that he directs - are engaging constituencies within Taubman College and the University of Michigan, as well as designers and scholars from Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro; high school students, schoolteachers and administrators, and the professional architecture community in Detroit.! 1_Milton
