2 The Seminar participants were from fourteen different countries, UK, Spain, Romania, Finland, Poland, Philippine, China, Sweden, Iraq, Bahrain, UAE, Egypt, Iran, and Malaysia. It was sponsored by Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), World Renewable Energy Congress and Network (WREC/WREN), River Publishers and Swift-Hook Associates. The seminar ran from Monday morning 9 November and ended on Saturday 14 November 2015 at the Old Ship Hotel, Brighton, UK. The Seminar was directed by Prof Ali Sayigh, chairman of WREC and director general of WREN. Most participants arrived on Sunday 8 November, registered and collected their seminar bags, then in the evening a welcome dinner was given by WREN to some of the participants, see below: Sunday gathering and dinner at the Regency Restaurant, Brighton On Monday the Director of the seminar read the opening speech of H E Dr Abdul Aziz Altwaijri Director General of ISESCO and thanked H E for the opportunity to attend which ISESCO had given to several of the participants. He thanked other sponsors and explain the programme to the participants. There were more than 20 presentations of one hour each were given by different speakers during the week. Monday was devoted to: Sustainability & Renewable Energy Options- I: The speakers were Prof Phil Eames from Loughborough University, UK; Prof Runming Yao, from Reading University and China; Dr Ruxandra 2

4 On Tuesday, the theme of the Seminar was: Renewable Energy Options -II Among the speakers were Prof Dorota Chwieduk, Warsaw University, Poland; Mr David Milborrow, Lewes, UK; Prof Robert Critoph, University of Warwick, UK; Prof Giuliano Premier, University of Glamorgan, Wales, UK; Dr A Kaabi Nejadian, Tehran, Iran and Prof Don Swift-Hook, University of Kingston, UK. 5 In London we looked at Kings Cross Station where 250 kw of PV was installed 3-years ago. See below: Then we went to the British Museum for 2.5 hour visit, see below On Thursday the theme was: National and International Programmes, and the speakers were : Prof Riadh Al- Dabbagh, Ajman University, UAE; Mr. David Milborrow second lecture; Prof Nader Al-Bastaki, Bahrain University, Bahrain; Dr Vahid Tabatabai from Tomorrow s Energy Ltd, Cardiff, Wales, UK; and Prof David Elliott from Open University, Milton Keen, UK. 5

6 Prof R Tabatabai Prof Nader Al-Bastaki Dr Vahid Tabatabai Prof David Elliott On Friday the theme of the Seminar was: Renewable Energy Options III, among the speakers were Mr Nicholas Dunlop,from Climate Parliament, Brighton, UK; Mr. Tony Book, Riomay Ex-Director, Brighton, UK; Dr Salam Darwish, Phoenix Renewable Energy Centre, Manchester, UK; Dr Ian Masters, Swansea University, Wales, UK and Prof Don Swift-Hook, University of Kingston, UK.
