35 New Trends Mid-Rise Construction Sustainable densification is the social, economic and environmental development of existing urban areas with higher density. Sustainable densification reduces the car-oriented sub-urban sprawl of many modern cities. The result is the creation of dense compact neighbourhoods, with local access to facilities and services, efficient infrastructure, provision of well used park space and social integration.
