5 Rental Resource Guide About AHC (AHC) as been rooted in te creation and maintenance of affordable ousing since our beginning in However, in order to build a more stable and vibrant community, we ve started focusing our efforts on rebuilding wat s already ere. Of course tis is more tan ousing; it s also about quality education opportunities, convenient transportation options, living-wage jobs, affordable ealtcare, neigborood leadersip and safe public spaces. AHC finds itself at a strategic place to connect outside funding wit te uman capital in Marion, we believe tat we can make a difference by leading te way toward a community tat takes full advantage of its resources. AHC services include te following types of ousing counseling, and more: Homeownersip Education- 3 classes wic cover te basics of buying and owning a ome. Pre-Purcase Counseling Counselors meet wit potential omeowners one-on-one to address teir obstacles to ome ownersip. Counselors review and discuss steps to take to secure and maintain omeownersip and oter applicable information. Non-Delinquency Post-Purcase Counseling Counselors meet wit omeowners wo are seeking assistance wit maintaining and keeping te ome tey own. Rental Counseling Counselors meet wit people wo are seeking rental ousing to address teir obstacles to renting. Homeless Counseling Counselors meet wit people wo are witout permanent ousing to assist tem in finding selter, usually troug referrals to area emergency selters and transitional ousing programs.
