4 Situation Lackhams is situated in a beautiful elevated setting about 1 mile to the east of Slinfold village centre and about 3 miles to the west of Horsham. Description Lackhams is fine Edwardian country house, built in about 1910 and which has been in the ownership of the present family for 55 years. A number of the original Edwardian features have been retained including floor tiling, polished herringbone wood flooring, cornicing, doors, radiators and the stained glass feature window above the staircase. Gardens and Grounds From Lyons Road an impressive part tree-lined entrance drive with broad grass verges rises between the paddocks to a large gravel parking to the front of the house and then extends to one side. The gardens to the west of the drive are laid to lawn, inset and bordered by a variety of mature trees and beyond is the former swimming pool and pool house (both in need of repair). To the south of the house is an open area of garden suitable to be laid to lawn and to the west is an area of woodland.
