3 3 Government Furnished Property What Is It??? Property in the possession of, or directly acquired by, the Government and subsequently furnished to the contractor for performance of a contract.

Fabrication: contractor makes the necessary equipment or tooling. Furnished: Buying agency provides or procures the required equipment or material. **Note: Contracts under the new rule this does not apply

8 8 Acquisition of Government Government Property - is property acquired (CAP) or furnished (GFP) in the performance of the contract. Title Property Acquired by the contractor ownership/title passes to the government when its delivered or time of payment by the customer.
