BMT has been active in India since 1997 and started full operations as BMT Consultants India in 2006 and set up offices in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Chennai. BMT Consultants India provides LE services during both construction and operation phases of the facility. During the construction phase BMT Consultants India reviews and reports on various elements of the project and provides remedial measures to the interest of the lenders. This includes: Concession/sub concession agreements Project contracts During the operation phase, BMT Consultants India reviews and reports on: Operations and maintenance as per good industry practice Actual performance vis-à-vis parameters specified in business plan Periodic site visits to assess overall operations of ports and terminals Commercial operations of the facility Project costs Base case business plans Project progress and milestones(monthly/quarterly etc) Statutory and non-statutory clearances/ approvals/permits Quality, health and safety Environmental compliance and environment protection plans
