Witold J. Walczak, the ACLU of Pennsylvania s Legal Director, was trial counsel for the plaintiffs, who convinced a U.S. District Judge that Hazleton s laws were unconstitutional. Walczak also argued the case on the City s appeal to the Third Circuit, and the parties are still awaiting a ruling from that court. Walczak will discuss the Hazleton case and how it might impact on Arizona s new law.
