No. 12 SUBJECT: Dedication of City-Owned Real Property as Public Street- west side of Balboa Boulevard south of Devonshire Street. RECOMMENDATIONS: A. That the City-owned Real property lying on the west side of Balboa Boulevard south of Devonshire Street, shown hatched on Exhibit Map, be dedicated, accepted, and established as part of Balboa Boulevard, a public street of said City. B. That the accompanying draft of Ordinance, effectuating such dedication, acceptance, and establishment, which has been approved as to form and legality by the City Attorney, be adopted. C. That pursuant to Section 556 of the City Charter, the City Council finds that this dedication, acceptance, and establishment, of City-owned real property as public street is in substantial conformance with the purpose, intent, and provisions of the General Plan. D. That a copy of the Council action and certified Ordinance be forwarded to the Real Estate Division of the Bureau of Engineering for processing. E. 3 COUNCIL 2 C. D. No. 12 FISCAL IMPACT STATEMENT: This report is being processed in conjunction with the S.A.F.E. Collection Center under Work Order No. E TRANSMITTALS: 1. Application dated April 6, 29 from City of Los Angeles. 2. Exhibit Map, location map. 3. Draft of Ordinance, in duplicate. DISCUSSION: The petitioner, City Of Los Angeles, is requesting that the City-owned property lying on the west side of Balboa Boulevard south of Devonshire Street, shown hatched on attached Exhibit Map, be dedicated as public street. The dedication is necessary to complete the public street dedication required on the west side of Balboa Boulevard south of Devonshire Street, for Major Highway Class II pursuant to Section of the Municipal Code. This Site is the new S.A.F.E. Collection Center. An Ordinance dedicating, accepting and establishing certain real property owned by the City of Los Angeles as part of Balboa Boulevard south of Devonshire Street, all public streets of said City. THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Los Angeles finds that the public interest, convenience and necessity require that an easement for public street purposes over the following described real property owned by the City be, and same is hereby dedicated, accepted and established as part of Balboa Boulevard south of Devonshire Street, all public streets of said City. THE WESTERLY 7. FEET OF THE EASTERLY 57. FEET OF THE SOUTHERLY 1. FEET OF THE NORTHERLY 28. FEET OF THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF THE SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 13, TOWNSHIP 2 NORTH, RANGE 16 WEST, IN THE RANCHO EX-MISSION DE SAN FERNANDO, IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS PER MAP RECORDED IN BOOK 1, PAGES 65 AND 66 OF PATENTS, IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER OF SAID COUNTY, AS MEASURED FROM THE CENTERLINE OF BALBOA BOULEVARD.
