2 Galerie Dukan 24 rue Pastourelle Paris France Galerie Dukan Spinnereistraße 7, Halle 18.I Leipzig Germany Sam Dukan and Marc Hourdequin are originally collectors and opened the previous gallery entitled Dukan&Hourdequin in Marseille from 2006 through December After the opening of galerie dukan hourdequin in May 2011 in the galleries district Le Marais in Paris, Sam continues the adventure with the Galerie Dukan in This year, the gallery opened a new space in Leipzig. The gallery presents around ten solo or collective exhibitions a year of emerging or mid- -career artists from more than ten different countries. Since 2006, the gallery has presented artists specialized in drawing and painting as Nina Fowler, Nicholas Di Genova, Bayrol Jimenez, John Kleckner, Alicia Paz, Jakub Matuška aka Masker, Yigal Ozeri, Alexander Tinei, Narcisse Tordoir, Rosa Maria Unda Souki or Craig Wylie and painters of the young French scene as Olivier Masmonteil and Jean-Xavier Renaud. The gallery s program is also moving towards sculpture and installation with artists as Folkert de Jong, Richard Stipl or Johan Tahon. The gallery guiding line is defined in three main areas: - the gallery represents international artists still unknown in France: only two are French; most of these artists are under 45 years - artists represented by the gallery tend to make a link between classical art, in the broadest sense of the term, and contemporary art - the gallery program develops around the promotion of young French and foreign emerging artists offering more experimental practice Sam Dukan : sam@galeriedukan.com / +33 (0)
