He is also an executive committee member of Scientific Alliance Scotland. His research work has covered a wide variety of topics based on advanced mathematical modelling, including renewable and alternative energy and environmental health and safety.

His research interests include process systems engineering focusing on mathematical modelling and optimization. Together with Professor L.T. Fan, he is a co-founder of the P-graph framework for process systems engineering including process network synthesis.

28 CET Issues The manuscripts have to strictly follow the CET template, otherwise can t be included in SCOPUS and ISI. They have to be in camera ready form. Many authors have underestimated the formal issues and in some cases 10 revisions were need. This put an enormous load on reviewers and editors more than 2,000 reviews were delivered. Many authors neglected the Copyright Transfer From and without it their papers are not allowed to be published.

29 CET Issues A provisional solution has been adopted the present version has been provided on the conference memory stick. However for publication in CET, which is open access journal only fully eligible paper will be included. Exceptionally about 10 very late papers may be still considered if they deliver the acceptable version (including the copyright transfer form) by the end of the conference.
