Affordable Housing Eligibility Before completing the application form, please ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria outlined below: Must be an Australian Citizen or are otherwise eligible to work within Australia; and must be approved as a tenant by Horizon Housing under normal suitability assessments; and must have an ongoing contract of employment within the relevant local government areas; a letter of employment, or be retired; or be over 55 and have lived in the relevant local government area for more than six months previously; and must not have a household income in excess of the maximum gross yearly income as set out below: 1st Adult $50,489 2018-19 Year 1st Adult - sole parent Each Additional Adult $53,104 $19,315 Each Child $16,748 Independent minor $50,489 For ease of application purposes, a variety of 2018-19 income eligibility limits for various household compositions are presented below. If you are listed on a tenancy database that we use, we are required by law to let you know that you are listed, and provide you with the contact details of the database operator so you can find out information about your listing.
