PRESENTS An Afternoon with the Girls Bustier Brunch Celebration of Life in honor of Breast Cancer Survivors Saturday, October 5, 2013 11am-2pm Matthews Memorial Baptist Church 2616 Martin Luther King Jr., Avenue, SE, Washington DC 20020

Greetings, On behalf of the Natalie Williams Breast Care Foundation, I would like to welcome you to the 1st Annual An Afternoon with the Girls Bustier Brunch. This special luncheon marks the organization s first fundraiser in hopes of carrying out its mission to raise the awareness of breast cancer among women of color throughout the District of Columbia and beyond. Since its inception in January 2013, we are proud to announce that the Natalie Williams Breast Care Foundation has identified over 100 women in the DC Metropolitan area to receive mammogram testing. Additionally, we are also pleased to announce a partnership with the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, which will allow us to provide testing to our sisters across the waters. Breast cancer is such a serious disease but can be combatted when caught in its early stages. We must begin to be vigilant in our self-examinations and annual mammograms. Early detection truly saves lives! Again, we thank you for sharing this special moment with us. Your presence here today ensures that our work to inform and educate women will continue. Sincerely, Natalie Williams Natalie Williams, Founder/Chair NWBCF P.O. Box 30272, 2, SE Washington, DC 20030 (202) 681-1125 www.supportbreastcare.orgre.o org

NATALIE WILLIAMS BREAST CARE FOUNDATION I feel beautiful and more alive... NATALIE WILLIAMS - Breast Cancer Survuvor About NWBCF The Natalie Williams Breast Care Foundation (NWBCF), founded in January 2013, is the leading voice in the promotion of breast care awareness among women of color. We focus specifically on the breast cancer disease and early detection, and the overall promotion of healthy breast care. Our efforts are targeted in the African American, Latino, Hispanic, African, and Caribbean communities across the globe. The NWBCF organization is governed by an elected Board of Directors, which is comprised of survivors and supporters of breast cancer. We are supported by a medical advisory team of doctors and nurses who practice in the areas of breast surgery, oncology, radiology and healthy living with practices at Howard University Hospital, United Medical Center, and George Washington University Hospital. NWBCF was founded following Ms. Williams journey with breast cancer at the age of 41. After being diagnosed in July of 2012, she underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation in an effort to combat the disease. Today, she attributes her remission to an increased awareness of the risk factors of breast cancer and her continued focused on a healthy mind, body, and spirit. 2013 BUSTIER BRUNCH AN AFTERNOON WITH THE GIRLS 6
