Current date for turning the building over to the district is March 8 that obviously may be adjusted forward or backward Construction on the fine arts center (current shop space for Agriculture and Industrial Technology) is set to begin on February 17, e.g., we must be completely moved out of these areas by Friday, February 16 No available shop space from February 16 to March 8 (or whenever we can move in the CTE) exploring option of using space at the new bus shed to create a temporary shop
As of February 16, there will be NO ACCESS to the back of the school as this will be a construction zone for the Fine Arts Center Access will end just past the entrance to the maintenance end of the CTE No deliveries, NO ACCESS FOR ANY REASON Patrons are reminded there is to be NO PARKING on either side of the access road to the CTE building at any time
Projected fencing from the bathrooms (white building in left picture) across the old bus shed grounds to connect to existing softball fence
Fencing would divide area where the propane/diesel/gas tanks used to be and reserve that for a new concession/restroom facility to service both baseball and softball fencing would allow one primary entrance to the complex with ample parking available in the old bus shed area
Fence line would go from the tree in the left picture (by bathrooms) straight west to connect to the existing outside fence to the softball field (right picture) would be one 7 entry gate and one 12 swinging entry gate
Existing culvert would be extended south and then covered, gate removed, and area leveled off between entry road and parking lot (won t be level but acceptable slope). We would put in a second entry/exit to the parking area to control traffic flow (one to enter, one to exit), and then gravel the entire area with a slight slope to the south (away from softball field) would provide substantial parking during construction and for baseball/softball events.
In anticipation of a traffic flow issue with parents dropping off/picking up children at the elementary during the 2018-2019 school year, we looked at flowing traffic in a loop by the football field/track, back up to the circle drive by the preschool entrance then back out the east ramp entrance/exit This led to a discussion of what if we actually created an orderly parking area for football and track, while at the same time providing traffic flow help for daily parent dropping off and picking up students
Here is a link to a more clear rendition of this concept (only works as part of the presentation)
Basically would level up the area (will use available dirt at the bus garage to fill in culvert area) slope would be to the south (toward the road/ditch) Driving paths would be gravel Parking areas would be reinforced grass Signage would dictate one way travel Would have a group of people actually parking cars for major events Depending on size of parking stalls, would create 100+ organized parking spots For picking up and dropping off kids to school, parents would enter and follow the gravel roadway, then circulate back to the circle drive by the preschool entrance
