Page 12 THE ROTARY CLUB OF WINDSOR INC. PRIDE of WORKMANSHIP AWARDS 2018 Pride of Workmanship was instigated in 1975 by the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills. The program has grown to be an approved Rotary International project, and has been adopted by over 600 clubs in Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Malaysia, Canada and the United States. Each year the Rotary Club of Windsor seeks nominations from the community and employers, for people who are deserving of recognition for what is one of the greatest intangible assets in our society - the sense of responsibility to do a job consistently well. Tonight we take pleasure in presenting this year s successful nominees with their awards. To the awardees go our congratulations for their commitment to a job well done. To their sponsors, our thanks for their nominations and for recognising those qualities of workmanship that will help build a better Australia. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. When one door of happiness closes, another opens. Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it. What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold. The Four-Way Test 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
