The branch was formally established in 1989 after participating in the Southwest Washington Joint Center for Education beginning in 1983. The campus and its facilities were initially located at Clark Community College. Preparations and planning for a permanent location and campus began in 1991. The campus started with the planning of primary buildings to house student services, administrative offices, a lecture hall, a building designated for classrooms and a library. The materials in this collection documents communications, procedures and the progress of the committees in the planning of the Salmon Creek campus prior to its opening. - Page 3-
