Property Data The Shippert Cabin is located within the Skyline Peaks Subdivision and can be considered a multi-use property. Direct access from the Shippert property onto State of Wyoming lands and adjoining National Forest lands is available just across the fence and opens up thousands of acres of public land for recreational use. The location of the cabin only about 1.4 miles from the north end of the Hazelton Road makes this property accessible for an extended part of the year. While quite accessible, the cabin is also quite private in that the subdivision gate remains closed. There are neighboring cabins to the east and to the west. There is a spring development in the swale known as Malson Draw nearing the south boundary of the property. A water right, named Shippert Spring #1, has been permitted and completed as P57317.0W. The permit shows an appropriation of 5 gallons per minute, a 3 total depth, and a 3 static water level for the flowing well. Some attempts have been made to pump water to the cabin but they were met with mixed success. Currently, it is believed that there is no pumping or conveyance system in place to utilize the spring. The beautiful views from the south porch of the Shippert Cabin extend west to Hazelton Peak, the Hazelton Pyramid and Hesse Mountain. Looking south over the property, moose, elk and deer have been seen in the swale below. Page 3
