TENANT BRAND EXPRESSION BRAND EXPRESSION SIGNAGE DIFFERENTIATES FROM YOUR PRIMARY SIGNAGE. FOR PRIMARY SIGNAGE - REFER TO THE TECHNICAL SECTION OF THIS DOCUMENT. FOR BRAND EXPRESSIONS SIGNAGE, CONSIDER LOCATION, PROPORTION, THREE DIMENSIONALITY, FINISHES AND ILLUMINATION OF YOUR BRANDING. A HAND-CRAFTED, TAILORED QUALITY IS PREFERRED TENANT BRAND EXPRESSION SECONDARY SIGNAGE- A CREATIVELY EXECUTED SIGN EXPRESSING YOUR TENANT BRAND THAT CAN BE APPLIED ON THE EXTERIOR BRAND IDENTITY INSET PANEL ZONE OF THE CABANA. OTHER AREAS OF THE TENANT BRAND EXPRESSION ZONES THAT ARE ACCEPTABLE ARE WITHIN THE INTERIOR OF YOUR STORE AT A MINIMUM OF 2 OFF THE CABANA STOREFRONT GLAZING, WITHIN YOUR BACK WALL AREA OF THE STORE AND/OR APPLIED IN A CREATIVE WAY TO THE STOREFRONT GLAZING ITSELF OR BEHIND IT. 6

AMBIENT LIGHTING LIGHTING BRINGS A DINING ROOM, PATIO, OR STOREFRONT TO LIFE. IT CAN ALSO LEAD THE EYE TO A FEATURE OR DESTINATION. LIGHTING WILL CREATE AN INVITING ATMOSPHERE. CONSIDER LAYOUT, COLOR, LAMP SOURCE, LIGHT FITTINGS AND YOUR FOCAL POINTS WHEN ILLUMINATING THE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENT OF YOUR CABANA. FEATURE DRAMATIC LIGHTING OF THE CEILING ZONES, FRONT COUNTER AND BACK WALL SOLID PLANE ZONES IS ENCOURAGED. CREATE A COMFORTABLE AMBIENCE WHICH ENCOURAGES CUSTOMER DWELL TIME. TO ACHIEVE THE BEST RESULTS ALL TENANTS ARE REQUIRED TO WORK WITH A PROFESSIONAL LIGHTING CONSULTANT, INTERIOR DESIGNER AND/OR ARCHITECT. LIGHTING TEMPERATURE TO BE CONSISTENT AND COMPLIMENTARY TO TO COMMON AREA LIGHTING. ALL GENERAL LIGHTING IS TO BE RECESSED. 7

CEILINGS BREAK UP YOUR CEILING VOLUME WITH VARIATIONS IN HEIGHT AND FINISHES. ALTERNATE PATTERNS AND COLORS TO ADD DIMENSION TO YOUR DESIGN, WHILE ALLOWING FOR THEM TO BE A BRANDING OPPORTUNITY. HIGH QUALITY FINISHES ARE REQUIRED. MIRROR CEILING TILES AND ACOUSTICAL CEILING TILE \, LAMINATES, PAINTED DRYWALL & SLAT WALLS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. MAXIMUM CEILING HEIGHT ACHIEVABLE MUST BE MAINTAINED. SECONDARY CEILING ELEMENTS CAN BE ADDED WITHIN YOUR CABANA TO CREATE VARIATIONS IN HEIGHT AND OVERALL BRAND IDENTITY. MAX 6 DROP CEILING WILL BE PERMITTED WITH A MINIMUM 2-0 SET BACK FROM STOREFRONT GLASS AND AN 18 MAX BULKHEAD OVER COUNTERS. NO EXPOSED CEILINGS ARE ALLOWED. ALL CEILINGS MUST BE FINISHED USING THE PRINCIPLES OUTLINED ABOVE. REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE LINEAR SLOT DIFFUSERS. 8

FLOORING EXPLORE A VARIETY OF DURABLE FLOORING MATERIALS. EXPERIMENT WITH LAYERING PATTERNS TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR FLOOR. ONLY ARCHITECTURAL GRADE MATERIALS WILL BE APPROVED FOR FRONT OF HOUSE FLOORING. HIGH QUALITY/NATURAL FINISHES ARE REQUIRED. LAMINATE FLOORS ARE NOT PERMITTED. LOW QUALITY MATERIAL WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN CUSTOMER AREA. CONSIDER CREATING A CUSTOM FLOORING STATEMENT AT THE ENTRY THAT ENGAGES THE CUSTOMER TO INTERACT WITHIN YOUR CABANA AND YOUR BRAND. ALL FLOORING FINISHES MUST CONFORM TO ALL LOCAL JURISDICTIONS. 9

VISUAL MERCHANDISING BE CREATIVE WITH YOUR VISUAL DESIGN. IF YOUR OPERATIONS CALL FOR THE DISPLAY OF MERCHANDISE, ENSURE THAT YOU TAKE CARE TO PRESENT YOUR OFFERINGS WITH AN ORIGINAL POINT OF VIEW. ACHIEVE A VISUAL TEXTURE WITH THE MERCHANDISING STRATEGY. FOOD SHOULD BE LABELED IN A WAY THAT CONVEYS ITS SEASONALITY AND FRESHNESS. BEVERAGES AND DRY INGREDIENTS CAN BE PRESENTED AS A VISUAL TEXTURE AS WELL. CAREFULLY ILLUMINATE YOUR OFFERINGS WITH LOW PROFILE LED FIXTURES WITH A 3000K COLOR TEMPERATURE. 10

RECESSED OR SHROUDED COMPARTMENTS SHOULD BE INTEGRATED INTO YOUR COUNTER DESIGN FOR ALL SERVICE ITEMS, FROM CONDIMENTS TO UTENSILS AND NAPKINS. REMEMBER TO SHROUD ANYTHING THAT HAS AN UNSIGHTLY BACK, LIKE A POINT OF SALE FOR EXAMPLE. KEEPING CORDS AND RECEIPT PRINTERS HIDDEN WILL KEEP THE EYE ON THE WELL CURATED MERCHANDISE, THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF, AND MENU BOARDS. ALL DISPLAY CASES SHOULD BE FRAME-LESS AND UV BONDED AND EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE DESIGNED INTO THE FRONT COUNTER. HOODS AND COLUMNS MUST ALSO BE CONSIDERED AS PARTS OF THE OVERALL COMPOSITION. AVOID FOOD AND BEVERAGE COMPANY LOGOS ON SODA MACHINES AND OTHER EQUIPMENT. ALSO CONCEAL ALL STORAGE IN PUBLIC VIEW. 11

MENU YOUR MENU IS A GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF YOUR FOOD OFFERINGS, BRAND, AND BUILT ENVIRONMENT. A MENU THAT IS PRINTED DAILY, OR A PROFESSIONALLY EXECUTED WRITTEN MENU TELEGRAPHS TO THE CUSTOMER THAT THE MENU EVOLVES WITH SEASONAL INGREDIENTS AND THAT THEY ARE IN FOR A UNIQUE AND FRESH EXPERIENCE. DESIGN MENUS DISPLAYED ON THE EXTERIOR INTO THE STORE FRONT ARCHITECTURE. NO SANDWICH BOARDS WILL BE PERMITTED. SECONDARY HIGH QUALITY PRINTED HAND HELD MENUS ARE ENCOURAGED AND MUST BE DISPLAYED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND INTEGRATED INTO THE OVERALL DESIGN. LAMINATED MENUS, INTERNALLY ILLUMINATED, POSTERS, DIGITAL MENUS, PICTURES OF FOOD ARE PROHIBITED. EXECUTE ALL MENUS AND GRAPHICS WITH THE AID OF A PROFESSIONAL GRAPHIC DESIGNER. 12
