During World War Two, Peter was a medical corpsman during the Allied Invasion of Normandy, France until honourably discharged in December 1944. Prior to his academic career, Peter worked with the U.S Department of State and as Director of U.S Operations Mission in Lebanon. An academic and researcher in the field of organization behavioural studies and economics, Peter became the Foundation Professor and Head of Department for the University of Queensland Department of Management in July 1972 until December 1980.
