SEITE 1 AVENUE Like a Phoenix Rising from the Ashes From Russian speciality restaurant to one of the most prominent clubs of the city fifty years of Berlin history, condensed. The Café Moscow was designed in 1959 by architects Josef Kaiser and Horst Bauer and was envisioned to be one of the seven "nationality restaurants" to be opened in the east part of Berlin. It was later built between 1961 to 1964 in close vicinity to Alexanderplatz. At the turn of the millennium, the space was discovered by the young Berlin party scene after having stood empty for many years. This laid the foundation for the contemporary use of this unusual location in the heart of Berlin. In 2013, Club AVENUE opened its doors as an integrative component of the landmark Café Moskau (under historical protection). Conceptualized and renovated by the internationally renowned Architects of studio karhard (known for the design of popular Clubs such as Pacha in Munich or the Panorama Bar in Berlin-Berghain), the AVENUE, with its mix of stylish elegance and timeless design elements, is considered, without a doubt, to be one of the top clubs in Berlin.
SEITE 1 AVENUE State of the Art Design & Technology With its high regard for design and quality of service, AVENUE is setting a standard and raising the bar for the Berlin club scene. The AVENUE is home to 850 square metres of space which can host anywhere from 50 to 900 people. This offers a broad range of event possibilities to meet the demands of a diverse array of hosts. Split into two areas; the Main-Floor and a Club Space, the AVENUE s two areas offer the flexibility to be used together or independent of one another. The Main-Floor is equipped with a dance floor, two modern bars, a VIP area with various seating options, as well as a separate accessible smoker's lounge. Some interior elements are modular and may be moved about freely, so that lounge areas can be altered to suit events ranging from stages for concerts to standing room catering space. The modern lighbng system compliments of ROOMDIVISION, as well as the sound system compliments of VOID, are exemplary of AVENUE s high s t a n d a rd fo r t e c h n i c a l equipment. The second Club Room is also fully outfieed. A separate bar and DJ area with integrated sound system allow for further diverse event ideas and opbons.
