Invitation to Bid Michigan Technological University invites you to submit bids for work involving cleaning university owned apartments. Bids should be sent via email to Herb Brundage, hbrundag@mtu.edu, and are due by 2:00 PM (EST), December 7th, 2017. The following documents are contained in this bid package: 1. Instructions for bidders 2. Bid Schedule I - Daniell Heights Lower Units 3. Bid Schedule II - Daniell Heights Upper Units 4. Scope of Work Inquiries regarding this bid package should be directed to Herb Brundage, (906) 487-1207. Bidders are invited to schedule an optional pre-bid walk-through to take place by Friday, December 1, 2017. Please RSVP for this walk-through by emailing hbrundag@mtu.edu by 3:00pm on Friday, November 24, 2017.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS Cleaning services for the Michigan Technological University (Owner), Daniell Heights Apartment Complex, Woodmar Drive, Houghton, MI 49931. Vendor shall furnish all cleaning materials, equipment and tools needed to complete each apartment. Owner shall provide access to each apartment. Bids should be sent via email to Herb Brundage, hbrundag@mtu.edu and will be due by 2:00 PM (EST), December 7th, 2017. Owner will be responsible for final inspection of apartments and approving partial and final payments. Michigan Technological University reserves the right to request references and contact information from previous projects similar in scope of work to this project. Michigan Technological University reserves the right reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received. Cleaning Schedule: Monday through Saturday, Hours: After 7:00 AM and completion by 9:00 PM. Quiet hours are between the hours of 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM. There will be approximately 40-50 apartments to clean. Apartments will be vacated starting December 18, 2017. All vacated apartments must be cleaned by January 10, 2017. A schedule of Apartments to be cleaned will be provided by the owner. The successful bidder will be responsible for moving furniture to access and clean areas; and returning it. See the attached Scope of Work to see the items in apartments to be cleaned. The successful bidder must provide an onsite supervisor to coordinate with owner s representative. The owner will be doing painting and other maintenance following the completion of cleaning of each apartment so an onsite supervisor is of primary importance. Upon execution of this document by Owner and Vendor, the successful bidder must provide evidence, satisfactory to the Owner, depicting insurance coverage in accordance with Michigan Technological University requirements, including: 1. General Liability Insurance. a. $1,000,000 each occurrence. b. $2,000,000 aggregate. 2. Workers Compensation / Employers Liability Insurance. a. Part 1 - Statutory required by State. b. Part 2 - $500,000 each accident No work connected to this Contract shall be started until insurance requirements have been satisfied.
