Location Baldock sits in a natural basin in the northeastern corner of Hertfordshire. The town was first built on the crossroads of the ancient Icknield Way and Great North Road. The ideal location for trade in medieval England is just as convenient today. Junctions 9 and 10 of the A1 are within a mile or so of Baldock town centre, with direct access north and south, while the fast trains to Cambridge or London stop at Baldock station, so you can be in either city in little more than half an hour.
