His invaluable knowledge and expertise will play an important role in the future development of HOW s business in the major centres of the Northern Powerhouse and across the UK. This selected experience was obtained by Neil whilst at DP9 and Drivers Jonas (now Deloitte Real Estate) in London. At DP9, a leading central London planning consultancy, Neil provided planning advice and delivered planning permissions to both private and public sector clients on a range of large high profile projects. His experience includes projects such as Lendlease s 10ha Elephant Park, and Trafalgar Place which won the 2016 Mayor of London s Award for Planning Excellence. Whilst at Drivers Jonas, Neil helped deliver the London 2012 Olympic Velodrome and Grosvenor s Liverpool One. Elephant Park Comprehensive regeneration of the former Heygate Estate to create a new 2bn neighbourhood in Zone 1 Central London. The 9.71 ha site in Elephant and Castle will deliver a phased development of c. 325,000 m 2, including up to 2,469 residential units and c. 33,000 m 2 of additional retail, office, community, and leisure floorspace across 12 development plots, and including 10 tall buildings of up to 31 storeys. Liverpool One Outline planning permission granted for the 17 ha site in Liverpool City Centre, which is partly within a World Heritage Site. The development included over 35 individual buildings and 6 public realm areas, and provides in excess of c. 220,000 m 2 of mixed use development, including c. 149,000 m 2 of retail floorspace. Over 50 separate planning permissions were obtained. The Masterplan was shortlisted for the 2009 Stirling Prize. London Square Bermondsey Planning permission granted for the redevelopment of a former protected industrial estate. The mixed use masterplan comprised c. 18,500 m 2 of offices, 407 residential units, affordable workspace and retail floorspace. The phased development would be made up of six plots designed by three architectural practices, and include a combination of new and refurbished buildings. Greenwich Market Detailed planning permission granted on appeal for the regeneration of the historic Greenwich Market located with the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site and containing numerous listed buildings. The proposals included a refurbished market and new roof, a 100-bed hotel, shops and new studio units.
