Custodial history Hastings County records have come to the Community Archives in a number of accessions. Minute books and by-laws were transferred from the County offices in June 2016. Assessment rolls and financial records were originally passed to the Archives of Ontario in 1972 by the Hastings County Historical Society. These materials were returned to Belleville in Spring of 2016. A third group of more mixed records was retrieved from the attic of the Hastings County Court House in Belleville, Ontario, between 1993 and 1996 by members of the Hastings County Historical Society. Scope and content The include minute books, by-laws, records of committees, plans, submissions to Council meetings, records of the House of Refuge and Home for the Aged.
