Sadberge Hall Sadberge Hall is a magnificent Grade II Listed house built in the Queen Anne style. The house was built at the end of the 19th Century for the Peases; one of the great Quaker families who were largely responsible for the growth of Darlington and the surrounding area as a major commercial and industrial region. Some of the finest houses in the town were built for the family in the second half of the last century. The house is approached up a long gravel driveway which terminates at the side of the house. The house is entered via a conservatory porch on the north elevation that leads in to the main entrance hall. The principal accommodation is well laid out over the ground floor and the character of the house has been retained. There are many period features still prevalent, including attractive fireplaces, working shutters, impressive staircase and a fine oak ceiling in the dining room. The drawing room sitting room and dining room are all south facing. To one end of the house is the Kitchen/breakfast room which leads through to the indoor swimming pool complex with sauna and changing room. To the rear of the house is a utility room with stairs to the cellar and adjacent is the back door and boot room.
The bedroom accommodation is laid out over two floors. The first floor is made up of master bedroom suite, five further bedrooms (four ensuite). The second floor accommodation comprises a games room, snooker room, sauna and Jacuzzi complex and an integral flat that is currently used as office with store rooms and a kitchen/sitting room.
