CONTINUING EDUCATION FIRST SEMINAR MASONRY FREEZE THAW ANALYSIS Presented by: Neil W. Garry PE, RRC, REWC, BECxP BELL & SPINA, ARCHITECTS-PLANNERS, PC This session will familiarize participants with simulation methodologies for assessing the risk of masonry freeze thaw degradation, with particular focus on interior insulation retrofit projects. Foundational concepts of dew point analysis and hygrothermal simulation will be presented, along with a discussion of the capabilities and limitations of both THERM and WUFI software simulations. Neil W. Garry is a partner at the Rochester, New York office of Bell & Spina, Architects-Planners. Much of his 19 year professional career has focused on the technical aspects of building envelope systems. He is a licensed Structural Engineer (PE), Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider (BECxP), RCI Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) and RCI Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC).
