LEAP HOME OWNERSHIP The Housing Authority of the Choctaw Nation is proud to announce the new LEAP Home Ownership Program. The program s mission is to build strong Choctaw families and vibrant neighborhoods through quality affordable housing and strengthened financial stability. Brand new construction, energy efficient three and four bedroom brick homes. Enclosed two car garage. Vinyl plank flooring. Appliances included. Payments starting out at below fair market value. Budget counseling and homeowner education services offered throughout the duration of the lease.
Accepting applications now. It is a first come, first serve opportunity. Construction for new homes will be in selected areas within the 10.5 counties. PROGRAM INFORMATION The Program is designed for Choctaw tribal families who: Are able to make monthly house payments. Are able to perform routine maintenance. Have credit issues. Are unable to obtain a traditional mortgage. The program is a fifteen year lease and the homeowner will be required to obtain a mortgage in the sixteenth year for the remaining balance to be paid within ten years.
